Reconnect: Lunch with Liz

Happening At: Waimanako at The Gathering, on Weds 28th at 1pm – please register here.

The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is Reconnect, and Liz is inviting you to join her for lunch on Wednesday to do just that – reconnect. Come and have some kai, some coffee, some good old conversation. Spots are limited, so please reserve yours.

Support Expos

Many many support services will be gathered for three Support Expos around Taranaki – Registration Not Required – a BRILLIANT opportunity to find out “What’s out there?” – “What support services are there in the region to support whānau / to help?” …an awesome diversity from housing to budgeting; from therapists, to holistic care supports such as yoga, massage and creative supports. Put faces to names and organisations; bring your questions; pick up resources. Everything is free (including refreshments!).

Hāwera: 4.30pm-6.30pm, Tues 27th Sept, at Hāwera Community Centre, Albion St
Stratford: 4.30pm-6.30pm, Weds 28th Sept, at Stratford War Memorial Hall, Miranda St
New Plymouth: 4.30pm-6.30pm, Thurs 29th Sept, at Waimanako

Cakes n Ladders – Board Games Night

Happening Next At: Waimanako in The Gathering, On Monday from 5pm until closing (around 9pm) – Registration Not Required

Bring your favourite board game, and some friends – or join up with a group when you get here, and enjoy a very wholesome evening accompanied by great kai for koha.

A welcoming space to start or continue an arty/creative project amongst others, facilitated by Sharron.

Creativity for Change: Water Colour Art (Group)

Happening Next At: Waimanako in the Creative Hub, on: Thursday 11am-12pm – please register here.

Join us for a fun workshop to learn about how to use watercolours and find out useful tips and techniques from our master artist. Glen will show you how to easily create beautiful cards or postcards as a kick start to discovering what else you can create with a little know how and support. There is no pressure or expectation, you don’t have to be ‘arty’, just give it a shot and see what you can create with a bit of guidance.

Recovery Support (Group or One on One)

Meet with our Peer Support Worker to gain some useful insights and tools to support you in your recovery journey. The focus is on ways of dealing with life can throw at you as well as ongoing support through your journey.
