Families Overcoming Addiction
KaupapaWeekly support group based in Taranaki, providing Peer Support Facilitator-led group meetings to assist families with coping strategies, communication skills, ideas and support around addictions within the whanau.

Sue Philipson is the Chairperson and a Peer Support Facilitator of the Families Overcoming Addiction support group.

Sue has a passion for working with families who have a loved one with addiction issues, to help them find ways to minimise their stress and enhance their well-being. She has been working with people affected by the addiction of a family member for the past 12 years and for 11 of those years, worked in a hospital drug and alcohol service as Family and Whānau Advisor.
